Tour the Museum

Museum-goers can tour the Williamson family log cabin, originally built in the 1700s.  The Williamson family were from Friendly, West Virginia.  The cabin was donated to the museum and now sites on the front lawn.

         




Inside the cabin there is a fireplace that sports an iron pot, a pop corn popper, an iron cooking pot, log lifters, a iron waffle maker and an iron
griddle. On the mantle is stone jars, a coffee grinder and locally dried herbs

 



 

 

 


 

 
 




There is also a rope bed with a
feather mattress, a spinning wheel and a
pie safe. Just to name a few items that are displayed inside.
 

Stop on by the museum to tour the inside of the log cabin.
